I completed my PhD at Jülich Centre for Neutron Science (JCNS-2) at Forschungszentrum Jülich registered under RWTH Aachen University, Germany. The title of my PhD thesis is “Elucidation of Barocaloric Effect in Spin Crossover Compounds”. For my thesis, I have worked on two polymorphs of the spin crossover compound Fe(Pm-BiA)2(NCS)2], where Pm-BiA =(N-(2’-pyridylmethylene)-4-amino-bi-pheynyl). The main objective of my thesis is focused on studying and correlating the microscopic crystal structural and macroscopic magnetic behavior of these two polymorphs with modern synchrotron powder and single-crystal diffraction using state-of-the-art detectors and beamlines. My research comprises an extensive dataset collected at fine temperature intervals under ambient pressure conditions. Additionally, we have conducted single-crystal measurements under high-pressure environments. Apart from crystal structure studies, I have also carried out differential scanning calorimetry, VSM, and SQUID characterizations on the samples for thermal and magnetic property studies along with the related codes for data analysis. I have experience in loading and preparing diamond anvil cells.
