About Henri Hendrickx

Henri Hendrickx (1962) studied medicine at Erasmus university Rotterdam followed by occupational medicine at NIPG/TNO Leiden. Henri worked for General Electric Plastics as occupational physician as from 1989 and since Oct 1997 also as manager arbodepartment (medical department). In Sept 2007 the GE Plastics company was sold to SABIC and got her new name SABIC Innovative Plastics. In 2008 he became medical lead for the European sites of SABIC Innovative Plastics. Henri is also an ergonomic specialist and has qualifications in for instance stressmanagement, human development, travel medicine, toxicology and total quality management. Main tasks of Henri are to execute the arbo- and absenteeism program (individual and group tasks) and executing employee sustainability programs. Examples are life styles, work ability, training, consultations, absenteeism surveillance, risk assessment and evaluation, provide education and training, emergency response and treatment, medical exams, medical scorecard, health & safety framework, ergonomics, coaching. Inside and outside the company Henri participates in several meetings / committees, for instance with other companies (chemical industry group; the CIA groep), NVAB Zuid West Nederland, WAJONG ambassador. Henri is a frequent speaker on national/international occupational health conferences, radio, newspapers. Henri lives in Halsteren, is married, has three children and two grandchildren.
