About Henri Schulz

As a Student Research Engineer at UC San Diego Health's Hnasko Lab, I am leading a team of engineers and data scientists to design, develop, test, and support a novel volitional vapor inhalant system for automated vapor administration to group-housed mice. This innovative technology will enable neuroscientists to conduct more efficient and reliable experiments on the effects of vapor-based drugs on mouse behavior and physiology. I am also an electrical engineering student at UC San Diego, pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in Computer System Design. I have a passion for discovering how technology can be used to improve human lives and health. I am a member of Engineering World Health, where I prototyped and tested a low-cost heart-monitoring watch to identify potential heart disease. I have also acquired multiple skills in leadership, software, hardware, testing, and design, such as Arduino, Python, 3D Slicer, Onshape, and attention to detail.
