About Henrik Nilsson

My professional focus is on regulatory law in a wide sense. My area of expertise is in Competition and Electronic Communications (telecom, Internet, broadcasting) as well as IT Law issues such as privacy and data protection, Information Security and E-Commerce. Of course, I also draft and negotiate IT and telecom as well as general commercial agreements. I have a lot of experience in Marketing Law. I work extensively on competition and public procurement law, which from my point of view fit into the regulatory law fold. I have experience in all areas of anti-trust and state aid law. I have acted for public authorities in drafting public procurement proceedings, though more commonly I assist bidders in their appeals against contract award decisions. My area of work reflects my long-standing interest in technology and public policy, beginning with soldering radio kits and joining a political youth organisation as a teenager. Experiencing the rise of the Internet has been a factor of major importance to me, and that story is still unfolding. While I typically work with clients in the technology industry, I am always excited to branch out to new fields. I spend increasing amounts of my time with the marketing and advertising industry and have also begun accepting clients facing criminal charges. Specialties: Telecommunications and ICT regulatory law such as IT security, privacy etc, competition and public procurement law, marketing law. Drafting and negotiating telecom and IT contracts, policies, codes of conduct etc. I have a feeling for the application and interpretation of regulatory law from a public policy perspective, helping me understand and forecast the workings and decisions of public authorities and administrative courts.
