About Henry Bittner

Over the past 31 years I have worked for a small consulting company called Response Dynamics. That is a long time to be with one company, however our work has proven to be challenging, fascinating, and ever changing, year after year. We love our work. We solve very complex problems that often involve vibration, structural dynamics, motion control, acoustics, strain, thermal issues, optical issues, and all areas of basic physics. Structural dynamics is actually a very large field within engineering. We have solved problems in every niche of this area of engineering. From sub-nanometer level disturbances of scanning electron microscopes, micron level vibrations of earth based telescopes, millimeter level vibration issues on helicopter components, and meter level deflections of off shore oil rigs. Much of my work has involved coming into a time sensitive situation where we need to quickly diagnose the root cause of the vibration issue through dynamics testing and analysis, provide the big picture, propose solutions, model, test, prototype mods, make adjustments, and propose solutions. We are fluent in spectral analysis, frequency response analysis, digital signal processing, instrumentation, fixturing, and experimental test design.
