About Henry Casarez

I am Henry Casarez and I love anything related to physics, engineering, and STEM. An ambitious, innovative learner with multi-disciplinary work experience in aerospace and DOD contract manufacturing holding a BS in Physics from UC Riverside. Mechanical Engineering Masters Student at SDSU applying my knowledge in engineering and applied science roles. My occupation as a Test Technician at ASML and L3Harris Technologies, allow me to play a critical role in creating and testing high power technology for US government clients and commercial companies. This experience has equipped me with hands-on expertise in troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical designs, leading simulations for Vibration and Thermal testing, and collaborating with engineering staff to advance existing models using CAD design. Furthermore, my experience as a Graduate Researcher in the SDSU Computational Mechanics Lab demonstrated my ability to develop and run cutting-edge simulations using supercomputers, participate in research paper reviews, and provide technical solutions for the accuracy and functionality of our models. It likewise cemented my belief in the need for real-world representative modeling. In addition, I have invested an appreciation for community service and Kiwanis’ Circle K International which has given me a great ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment and complete multiple projects concurrently. All the while, I have gained unmatched people skills and interpersonal skills. Above all, my creativity, leadership, and positivity have garnered me high appraisal and a reputation of a dedicated employee that can make a great fit in a team. My hobbies include: Classic movies, comic books, and physical fitness. I also enjoy volunteering at San Diego Comic Con every year and looking at anything with cats.
