About Henry Collin

Henry Collin has worked as an environmental planning & management, sustainability and low carbon consultant for over 25 years. He has undertaken environmental assessment and appraisal, policy and management projects in a range of sectors including transport, renewable energy, energy / grid transmission, property, urban regeneration, central and local government, planning, structural funds, rural development and tourism. He has worked for a range of governmental, public and private sector organisations in the UK and overseas. Henry has extensive experience in strategic and project level environmental assessment, sustainability appraisal, policy analysis, institutional strengthening, training and research. He previously held senior consultancy positions with ERM (1993 to 2004) and WSP Environment & Energy (2004 to 2010). From 2007 to 2010, Henry advised Transport Scotland, the Scottish Government's agency for transport, on environmental assessment procedures, regulatory compliance, sustainability, carbon management and climate change issues. In 2011 Henry joined Natural Capital Ltd where he worked on environmental planning and assessment commissions including for energy and transport infrastructure projects, renewable energy (onshore and offshore) developments, energy networks and sustainability appraisals covering environment, natural capital and resources, carbon and energy. He continued with many of these projects during 2015 to 2016 with Energised Environments and Sweco before joining Ecus Ltd in 2021. Currently focusing on appraisal and assessment of major infrastructure including wider sustainability assessments addressing health impacts, climate/carbon, biodiversity enhancement and natural capital/ecosystems services.
