About Henry Getson

I am a Junior at Penn State University studying Marketing and Supply Chain. My journey is fueled by my work ethic and ambition which guide me through the various projects I have taken on. I believe in pushing the boundaries and using a combination of creativity and outside-the-box thinking in my endeavors. This past summer I interned at NFI. I gained a sea of knowledge in Transportation Management, Marketing, Brokerage, Asset Management, Port services, Global, Real Estate, and Warehousing. Networking around the company allowed me to understand how a business should offer customers multiple services to increase loyalty over time. While at NFI, I focussed on client and carrier relationships, on-time pick-up and delivery, lead time, and consolidation. This past spring, I interned at Quantum Strategies, where I helped lead marketing campaigns. I created new scripts for videos that highlight Quantum's HR services, managed a social media calendar where I used keywords and graphics to capture attention, and generated engaging short-form videos that drove prospective customers to Quantum's website. On campus, I participated in a behavioral research study where I determined the effects of saying "thank you" on a consumer's long-term usage of a reusable dining hall container. I am also heavily involved in Penn State American Marketing Association where I lead a team of 35 students in the digital marketing and advertising division. Outside of my academics, I train for triathlons and ultramarathons. I recently completed Ironman Arizona on November 17th, 2024. Balancing school work, clubs, Ironman training, and a social life is my biggest priority daily.
