About Henry Haase

I am a Senior System Engineer that has built my career on designing, implementing, and optimizing simulation systems for various sensor technologies on high compute frameworks. I have a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and currently completing my Master of Science in Computer Engineering as well, where I have specialized in GPU architecture and programming, digital communications, and signal processing. My core competencies include radar simulation, radar system design, and hardware acceleration on GPU systems. Immeadiately after obtaining my undergraduate degree, I co-founded and led the engineering team at DigitalGemini, a startup that created a state-of-the-art simulation framework for generating high-throughput, high-fidelity radar data for the automotive industry. We used Nvidia's CUDA and OptiX APIs to leverage GPU computation and ray tracing for our simulation framework, which we called DGSim. Our product enabled our customers to develop and test machine learning models for radar applications. We partnered with Uhnder in June 2022 and became part of their system engineering team, where I spent the next couple years refining the DGSim framework and tuning it for Uhnder's high performance radars. I am passionate about creating innovative and scalable solutions for complex and challenging problems for all sensors as well as using simulation to bridge the gap between reality and computation. I value collaboration, learning, and diversity, and I strive to bring these qualities to the team and the organization.
