About Henry Kunerth

I am a researcher whose work has focused on population genetics and computational biology. I have worked extensively with the generation and analysis of genomic data, and have a broad range of bioinformatic and data analysis skills. My background has focused on approaches to identify and analyze genetic variation and have applied my skills to tackle evolutionary questions using next-generation sequencing datasets of flies, moths, and small mammals. I also have broad interests in teaching and scientific communication, and enjoy fostering scientific and professional collaborations. I love working on data visualization and communicating complicated results to a wide range of audiences including scientists, business leaders, and stakeholders. I recently completed my PhD from Cornell University and am working as a bioinformatician with the Minnesota Department of Health, where I build, test, and utilize bioinformatic pipelines on sequencing data of infectious diseases.
