Currently working as a DevOps Consultant with The Scale Factory. Minded to see, understand and influence the bigger picture to ultimately help deliver valuable outcomes with appropriate and efficient technical solutions. Comfortable and most happy to cross-functionally collaborate with business/product, broad stakeholders to shape solutions. Belief that some of the most valuable work is in architecting high-level models, processes, and technical design particularly around software delivery lifecycle & selection of key technologies, services and solutions for given problems. Hands-on technically proficient in all things AWS, a strong advocate and adopter of infrastructure as code everywhere (Terraform, Cloudformation, SAM/Serverless frameworks), and fully automated CICD tooling (Github Actions, CircleCI, AWS Codebuild/deploy, Teamcity.) A former British Army Officer, with +7 years leadership experience with teams of +20 technical specialists. Built a technical foundation as the first non-US Army graduate of The US Army Cyber Center of Excellence Network Engineering programme. I graduated from Imperial College London with an MEng in Civil Engineering in 2010. I like running, skiing, sailing, cooking and socialising.
