About Henry Pitcairn

Since starting my professional career at Booksmart Technologies shortly after entering the eighth grade, I’ve accumulated a wide range of certifications and professional experience. From guiding ice hiking trips through frozen waterfalls with Valley to Summit to reverse engineering and exploiting 802.1x authentication mechanisms with Hak5, I’ve never backed down from a good challenge. The only common thread connecting the jobs I’ve chosen has been a wide array of fascinatingly difficult problems and an endless torrent of work that never quite looks the same. I’ve stayed up long nights fixing bugs for holiday deployments and edged my way through the narrow stretch of ice separating clients from a deep crevasse to transport important gear. When I decided to get back into the software industry and took a job doing web design for Valley to Summit, I designed a fully dynamic and customizable website creation platform. This allowed the CEO, David Mildenberg, to implement his own design preferences on the fly without giving him enough slack to break away from company branding. Through my experience, I’ve developed both an attention to small details and an understanding of how to twist together broader, more abstract concepts to produce polished and innovative solutions.
