About Henry Quake

My first career was with the Singapore Armed Forces. I retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1997 after serving 25 years in the SAF. My second career in Jan 1997 was in healthcare and education as COO of a healthcare group where I managed both local and regional operations in Indonesia and China. I later served in Mar 2002 as CEO of an e-learning education and training subsidiary of PSB Corporation before moving on to my third career in semiconductor in April 2003. Here I served as CEO of the training arm of an IC Design Technology Group and Group COO and later as Board Director and President of a software design centre in Bangalore, India. I then moved on to serve in the social sector, being the founding CEO of Council for Third Age (C3A) in May 2007 with its mission being to make active ageing a way of life in Singapore In June 2011, I moved on to serve as the Chief Executive of Centre for Enabled Living (CEL) whose vision is to contribute to building an inclusive society where persons needing care have access and opportunities to live life with dignity. I moved back to the private sector in July 2013 as the Executive Chairman of Virtual HR Pte Ltd, a provider of payroll services. With its acquisition by TMF Group on 1 June 2017, I assumed the role of HR & Payroll Consultant for the integration phase. With the successful completion of the integration, I am now actively retired and living life to the fullest. In April 2019, as part of my active retirement, I accepted an invitation to serve as an Advisor to the Centre For Seniors (CFS), a social service agency committed to promoting the total well-being of older persons in Singapore before serving as the present Chairman of Enterprise Promotion Centres (EPC) in 2022. I was also an active grassroots volunteer for 12 years (1984-1996) and served as Chairman of both the Fengshan Citizen Consultative Committee and Community Club Management Committee (CCMC), and Councillor and Chairman Projects Development Committee of the then Bedok Town Council.
