As a highly skilled and experienced Public Accountant, I am confident in my ability to bring significant value to any organization in the insurance industry. With over 22+ years of experience, including 17 years with multinational North America based companies, I have demonstrated a track record of success in various positions, ranging from Finance Analyst to Regional Controller for Latin America. My academic background includes a Finance Specialization from Los Andes University (May 2006), a Specialization in International Accounting from Universidad Javeriana (Dec 2014), and currently pursuing the Executive Program in General Management at MIT, which will complete in August 2023. I have continuously focused on developing my skills to achieve my ultimate goal of becoming a Chief Financial Officer, where I can lead financial processes to help organizations accomplish their targets in a continuously changing and challenging environment. Throughout my career, I have led teams to successfully perform accounting and reporting responsibilities while implementing new operations, ERP systems, and reporting tools to make processes more efficient and scalable. I have also been responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory and accounting standards, managing budgets, and implementing internal controls. One of my key strengths is my ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executives, management, and cross-functional teams. I have excellent communication skills, which enable me to clearly articulate financial information to non-financial stakeholders and support decision-making processes.
