Background
About Henry Ween-Lawrence
I have worked as a Seasonal Project Firefighter for the last 5 summers helping maintain the Yarra State Forest along with responding to emergencies across the state of Victoria when required. In particular I have worked in and around communities during the Cambarville Fires and the Fires of 19/20 or Black Summer providing support for the local communities while achieving the goals required where possible. Alongside these emergencies I have lead work crews and managed projects in my local forest helping maintain hiking trails, recreational sites, signage, burn preparation and weed removal. During the off season I have dedicated my time to studying Environmental Science and further developing my understanding of the environment. I have a particular passion for improving and maintaining the natural environment around us along with pest removal and the support for native species. Once I have completed my studies I'll seek to continue working in the emergency field along with further developing my practical environmental skills in the winter through volunteering with other environmental projects.
