I have over 25 years of experience in public libraries in a broad range of roles. Starting at the entry level as a Library Associate in Telephone Reference, I worked hard at my job as well as at getting an MLIS. While advancing through positions of Librarian, Assistant Manager, System Circulation Manager, Department Manager and Branch Manager, I've acquired a broad range of experiences and a deep understanding of the library's role in the community. The four systems and 10 directors I have worked with have given me exposure to a wide variety of Policy & Procedure as well as management styles. Working in both management and administrative roles has given me a balanced understanding of the needs of the library system, the patrons, and the library staff.
