About Herbert Auer

Data Management for Your Business Over a decade ago I decided to move from basic science into a more customer oriented role by providing genomic services to researchers and clinicians. For new challenges I moved from Austria to the USA (Columbus, Ohio) and after 5 years I came back to Europe (Spain) to apply what I had learned across the Atlantic. Life science and biomedical research depend more and more on specialists for certain technologies. This know-how is often provided through research infrastructures and scientific core facilities. After over a decade of managing scientific services, their technical and business aspects, I have the training to understand and satisfy the needs of scientists, physicians and other clients. My background in genomic analysis and my involvement in international organizations like ABRF and CTLS allowed me to be an effective partner in managing technologies and infrastructures. My experience in sales enforced my customer orientation even more. Working in a team and directing teams in 3 countries on two continents provided me with a global perspective of science, business and management. Right now, I solve IT problems in a global company and train others to do the same.
