About Herbert Bertz

Participating in high school sports was the best decision I ever made because of the skills and lessons that I have learned and now apply to my everyday life. As a young student in high school I was never able to focus on academics, rather I would make sure I was just "getting by" in order to participate in sporting events. My hard work and dedication was all focused towards sports. Once the transition into college began I quickly realized that "getting by" was no longer the solution anymore. I have matured into an individual who is able to work against adversity, while applying valuable leadership skills and a hard working attitude towards any situation. With that being said, Sports have made me into the type of person who does not enjoy settling for average work. I want to be a part of a team who has visions of driving a company to be successful. A team that has the ability to adapt in any situation while communicating effectively. A team of individuals who can work together as a collaborated unit and function independently on their own. Finally, I want a team who is more then just a group of employees. I want to be apart of a family and a fun/competitive environment. As much as I enjoy construction and gaining immense amounts of knowledge, I want there to be more reasons as to why I look forward to work. This all starts with the environment and culture of the company. I believe surrounding yourself with positive and successful individuals can have a huge impact on self-growth.
