Strong laboratory background, extensive knowledge in mineral identification -including clay minerals using XRD, electron microprobe, XRF and petrography (all rocks). Almost 10 years of experience in the Ar/Ar dating technique plus Rb/Sr. For my Master and Ph.D researches, I have been working on finding key-time events to constrain the geological histories of ancient terranes for specific time intervals. I understand the principles of diffusion which can unravel thermal (T-t) histories of geologic terranes, and I have also experience measuring the diffusion rates for geochronologically important minerals (K-feldspar and micas). Knowledge of the ages of rocks is critical to earth scientists and geological engineers working in resource-based industries such as mineral exploration and oil & gas.
