About Herbert Gaddi

I am a highly motivated and experienced 1st officer/bridge manager holding both Italian and UK Master Certificates of Competency (STCW95 II/2). I possess a valid medical certificate, a USA visa (C1/D1), and have completed all required STCW courses, including those specific to Carnival Corporation Group and Princess Cruises. My career began in 2009 on tanker vessels where I honed my navigational skills and gained valuable experience in all aspects of ship operation. This includes planned maintenance and repair, cargo operations, passage planning, and port documentation. In 2017, I transitioned to the cruise industry with Princess Cruises, further expanding my skillset and knowledge base. This move broadened my understanding of the maritime sector and allowed me to adapt to the unique demands of passenger vessel operations. In 2024 I was part of the building team for the Sun Princess, the biggest cruise ship ever built in Fincantieri/Italy, a ship powered by LNG and equipped with podded propulsion systems. Throughout my career, I have participated in various dry dockings for both cargo and cruise ships, gaining valuable insights into ship maintenance and repair procedures. I am a reliable and committed team player with a strong work ethic and a dedication to excellence. I am eager to contribute my expertise and experience to a challenging and rewarding position in the maritime industry.
