About Herbert Padilha

With 15 years of experience in the mortgage and banking sector, I have developed an in-depth understanding of the credit market in Brazil. My expertise has been focused on Retail Products for Individual Clients (PF) and leading the transformation of the traditional banking industry into a bank tech model, bringing innovative digital experiences to the sector. As Head of Mortgage and Consortia, I focus on developing a product platform to optimize the sale of credit lines through intermediaries. By integrating technology, BPO, and back-office operations, I implement digital solutions that enhance the customer experience in mortgage financing, home equity, and consortia. Throughout my career, I have acquired solid expertise in mortgage credit, having served as Superintendent of Mortgage Credit at Safra and Superintendent of Revolving Credit, Overdraft, Investor Limit (LIS), and Advance to Depositor. Additionally, during my time at Santander UK in 2019, I gained valuable international experience in the mortgage and digital credit segment, always focused on solutions that optimize the customer experience across various credit products. Among my key achievements, I highlight leading the creation of an Omnichannel Digital Platform and the first innovative B2C channel for the real estate sector. This platform, via Internet Banking and App, modernized workflows and documentation processes for mortgage financing and loans with real estate guarantees, increasing efficiency and customer satisfaction. This solution was recognized with two national and one international awards during my tenure at Santander. In 2015, I won the IV ABECIP Award with the monograph "Securitization of Real Estate Receivables with Secure Origination," in which I explored financing alternatives for the sustainable growth of mortgage credit in Brazil, reinforcing my contribution to the advancement of the sector.
