About Herdasine Epps

Herdasine made the decision to switch careers and went back to school for nursing in 2012. After graduating with her Associate's degree, she began working at Cleveland Clinic where she had the opportunity to work on a Medical/Surgical floor with care focused on neurological diseases. Herdasine is trained in stroke assessment and telemetry. While working at Hillcrest Hospital (regional hospital of Cleveland Clinic) she had the opportunity to train as a diabetes management mentor and assisted other nursing staff with evidence- based practice on management of patients with diabetes. During this time, Herdasine completed her RN- to- BSN bridge. Currently, Herdasine works with Cleveland Clinic home care and is also an independent contractor for a non- medical home care company where she completes start of care assessments to create the plan of care for home health aides. Herdasine also provides instruction to nursing assistants who want to be trained to become STNAs. Herdasine will be returning to school in 2022 to pursue a Master's Degree in Nursing Education with a goal of training the future generations of nurses to come.
