About Herman Ginting

I started my role as oracle DBA in 2013 for PT Aprisma Indonesia, one of IT company providing internet banking and payment gateway for most bank in Indonesia. On newly acquired customer, i was responsible to asses database requirement and help to install and configure the database while working hand in hand with developers to ensure the configuration meet the performance expectation before goes live into production state. On our existing customers, i was responsible to perform monthly heath check and spot any performance degradation in the database. Any tuning action would be advised to customers and tested in lower environment prior to implementation on production environment. 8 years has been past, and i have been moved to several big company in Indonesia including Bank Mega, HSBC, ICBC and Metrocom Global Solusi. During these years i have put my knowledge to function and help the company to manage their oracle database to meet industry standard while also keep on learning and upgrading my knowledge. One of significant responsible that i am still proud of is being part of HSBC team to on-shore their Data Center from Hongkong To Indonesia. Currently I work for Oracle Indonesia as Advance Support.
