About Herman Johnson

I have lived my life serving my country, protecting my fellow citizens, and finding new ways to make our military and civilian authorities work better, smarter, and cheaper. In the U.S. Air Force, I served in Operation Desert Storm, rose to the rank of Senior Master Sergeant (E-8), and specialized in operations management and security operations. As a Air National Guard Bureau civilian, I directed and managed the largest Antiterrorism and Force Protection security program in the Air Component to United States Northern Command Air Component. My work visibly improved the protection of 86 U.S. military installations hosting personnel and their dependents across North America. As a Federal civilian security manager with the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency, I manage, plan, and provide seamless and technologically adept physical and personnel security solutions that ensure 24/7 protection and safety of FEMA employees and property at numerous disaster sites nationwide. My core strengths include Security Program Management, Intelligence Analysis, Government, Emergency Management, Operational Planning, Team Building and service before self. I have an Active OPM Top Secret security clearance. My work history is backed up with a Masters of Arts (M.A.) in in Business and Organizational Security Management, a B.S. in Business Management, an A.A. in Industrial Security, an A.A. in Criminal Justice and a robust professional training and certification history in the U.S. Air Force, the Air National Guard Bureau, and FEMA.
