About Herman Opperman

I'm a Cybersecurity Solutions Architect within the Industry Solutions Enterprise Security Services. I have been in the IT security industry for over 25 years. I relocated to the United States in 2015 where I was a Principal Cybersecurity Consultant helping customers design and implement effective cybersecurity solutions and strategies. For the last 3 years, my primary focus has shifted to compromise recovery where I help customers in their most difficult time to recover their systems and gain positive administrative control during and after a cybersecurity incident. I also help customers build an effective cybersecurity, information protection and compliance strategy on the journey to a more resilient systems architecture. Over the last 15 years, my focus has been shifting from commodity security solutions to Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) and Credential Theft mitigation architectures, design and strategies. Considering these approaches, I not only look at the technologies or security controls required to defend against these sorts of attacks but also how to have an effective overall cybersecurity architecture and business process around these ever-evolving threats. I constantly challenge himself to advance, learn and grow my cybersecurity career by constantly driving myself to new challenges and get exposed to more relevant opportunities. Doing the right thing is always top of mind for me with integrity, honesty, and dedication.
