About Herman Young

When I was 18, I paddled on a dragon boat for the first time ever.While I was paddling during practice and competitions, I always ask myself "Why am I making myself so tired?" Despite all the adrenaline, mental and physical fatigue that I was going through, I kept going. I’m that person. Once I say I’ll do something, I will ensure that the work I complete is top-notch quality. Now, I put that perseverance to work as a graduate in the Business Administration: Finance program at George Brown College and as a Financial Service Associate at CIBC. I don't paddle when I work on group projects with group members, but there are times where I felt like giving up because it was that stressful. However, I never gave up because I love challenges. I’m well-versed in fundamental accounting, investment planning, personal finance, and sales training and client management. I'm also very friendly, reliable, responsible, organized, professional, and punctual.During my free time, I would paddle with my dragon boat team: Shockwave Dragon Boat Club. Also, I volunteered my time as a Teaching Assistant at my high school for lion dancing as well as managing the Instagram account for Toronto NLSF Mo Kwoon.
