With over four decades of experience in the extractive mining and explosives industries, I serve as Chief Inspector for Mineral Mines & Quarries and Chief Inspector for Explosives. My career spans surface and underground operations, regulatory oversight, and strategic leadership — all driven by a steadfast commitment to safety and compliance. I lead inspectorates that champion a balanced approach to education and enforcement, working closely with industry to foster a culture of health and safety. Our mission is clear: zero serious harm. I believe this goal is not only aspirational but achievable through collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. I’m a Fellow of the Institute of Quarrying Australia and hold SSE Notices and Practicing Certificates for both surface and underground mineral mines and quarries. I bring deep operational insight, regulatory acumen, and a passion for elevating industry standards — always guided by the belief that every worker deserves to go home safe.
