About Hernan Grecco

I specialize in developing instrumentation, optical methods, and data analysis techniques to explore the spatio-temporal organization of dynamic processes. After earning my Ph.D. in physics, I conducted postdoctoral research and later led a research group at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Physiology, focusing on signaling pathways in mammalian cells. Since establishing my research group in Buenos Aires, I have secured international funding, led multiple scientific projects, and mentored numerous students and researchers. I have also driven technology transfer initiatives with companies such as Y-TEC, InLab, and Satellogic. Beyond my research, I am committed to open-source development, having created widely used projects like PyVISA and Pint. I actively engage in science communication through outreach events and popular science books. My contributions have been recognized with awards from The World Academy of Sciences and the National Academy of Sciences in Argentina.
