As CFO of Tenova Group North America, I have spent the past 6+ years steering financial strategies for our businesses in the US, Mexico, and Canada, aggressively controlling costs to cut G&A in half, reducing DSO by more than 50%, improving cash 3x, and generate double-digit revenue increases. In addition, for the first time since 2013, based on exceptional financial performance, we were able to resume dividend payments with stakeholder payouts of $23M+ in the past 3 years. Also, during my tenure As CFO for this business group, I analyzed existing processes, identified opportunities for continuous improvement, negotiated competitive contracts of up to $100M, grew interest income through full investment discretion over a $40M free cash fund, and captured first-time tax credits. Concurrent with my day-to-day financial leadership efforts, I reengineered our Mexico division, completed a major ERP migration, and continue to synergize processes and systems across the enterprise. In my first US position, I was selected to launch our operating and finance infrastructure for the new Houston-based engineering and construction group. Establishing inaugural business relationships, scaffolding early and scalable processes, and supporting the soft landing of 40 expats were just a few of the key initiatives I led to build a self-sufficient business. With projects impacting a $1.8B investment to build the most technologically advanced pipe manufacturing facility in North America, I played an instrumental role in setting the stage for US venture and project success. Earlier positions in Argentina and Saudi Arabia—as a finance manager—provided me with an uncommon breadth and depth of exposure to international financial operations, local and global compliance, talent management and development, and business-critical project execution. A highlight of my earlier career was participating in the takeover and integration of Italian and Indian sister companies, following which I was charged with leading the Finance Department for the Engineering and Procurement business with 600+ team members located throughout Argentina, Chile, Italy, Mexico, and India. Complementing my 20+ years of professional experience is ongoing professional development, including completion of Columbia’s CFO Program, a comprehensive curriculum and yearlong learning journey focused on expanding knowledge of global business strategies, leading financial transformations, and overcoming complex organizational challenges.
