About Hershel Manley

Graduated in 1974 from Hamilton High School in Hamilton, Alabama. Attended Mississippi State University my freshman year and played football as a walk on. Moved to Houston, Tx. in 1975 where I was employed with Cameron Iron Works in the cost accounting department. Did a 3 year tour of duty in the US Army as a Military Policeman and came back to Cameron Iron works where I was part of a downsizing in 1983 due to oil field cutbacks. Moved to Beaumont, Tx in 1983 and served as a youth pastor at Southside Assembly of God until I joined the Beaumont Fire Department in June of 1984 where I was a career firefighter for 20 years and also owned an air conditioning company, Arctic Air, during this time. I retired from the Fire Department and sold Arctic Air in 2004 to focus my energies and time on helping my daughter battle leukemia. She lost her 9 year battle in May of 2007. I had gotten my license in real estate in March of 2007 and went to work with Remax. I was a part of the Top team in the state of Texas in our division when we left Remax to open up the Keller Williams brokerage. After 7 years with KW I stepped out on a new and exciting venture with my own brokerage, Hometown Realty. In 2019 we were recruited and joined the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices franchise system for the next 3 years. July 15th of 2022 I decided to step back and revive Hometown Realty and focus on being excellent and giving my clients the best service and care that they deserved. God has blessed us!
