About Hide Morita

A global-minded founder and advocate for cross-cultural connection, I serve as the Co-Founder and CEO of Queri Co, Ltd, where we are building the activation layer for Japanese and Asian entertainment IP and global fandom. Queri brings together data, community, and fan engagement infrastructure to help creators, agencies, and IP holders understand global demand, deepen fan relationships, and turn that demand into meaningful growth. My passion for entertainment began early, during my years working with Akimoto Yasushi from age 17 to 21. As a producer and manager for groups like AKB48 and Nogizaka46, I gained an insider’s understanding of creator psychology, agency dynamics, and the mechanics of influence — insights that now shape Queri’s strategic roadmap. I studied at Eton College and later earned a BA in Japanese Studies from SOAS University of London, developing deep bicultural fluency that allows me to operate natively across Japanese and international business environments. My perfect 990 TOEIC score reflects this commitment to global communication. Before founding Queri, I spent six years as a Senior Consultant at IBM Japan in Banking and Financial Services, leading large-scale Anti-Money-Laundering system implementations for megabanks and sharpening my expertise in fintech, compliance, and data-driven problem solving. At Queri, I bring these experiences together to build a company grounded in cultural fluency, global ambition, and operational excellence. Our mission is to help Japanese and Asian entertainment IP understand, reach, and activate global fandom — while giving fans around the world more meaningful ways to connect with the creators and stories they love.
