I have 17 years of experience in oil and gas industry working in various positions starting as Production Support Engineer on East Azeri production & drilling platform at Caspian Sea and up to becoming one of BP Globally certified discipline responsible Process Safety Engineer. I have led complex engineering and operational studies for greenfield/brownfield projects and operating facilities such as gas flame out consequence/dispersion modelling, hazardous area classification, occupied building studies, hazardous operability and layer of protection analysis for gas conditioning/compression stations and crude oil pumping facilities, and TAR (Turnaround) processes. Supported SCPX project design basis and led SCP-SCPX tie in activities. Since joined TANAP (Trans Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline Project) in Turkey, I have led Operations Readiness and Commissioning/Start-up activities, Pipeline Linefill and Gas-in readiness process through building/coordinating the interfaces between the Shippers and Transmission System Operators (TSO) for the achievement of first hydrocarbon fill which have been successfully completed and transferred to commercial operations. TANAP forms part of the Southern Gas Corridor also comprising the South Caucasus Pipeline (SCPX), extending from Caspian Sea to Georgia-Turkey border, and the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) extending from Greece-Turkey border to Italy. The TANAP Project aims to transport Azeri Natural Gas from the Shah Deniz gas field and other fields of Azerbaijan, and possibly from other neighboring countries, to Turkey and through the downstream Trans-Adriatic Pipeline to Europe. The pipeline system will transport natural gas to the required specifications and quantity in stages up to 31 bcma. I am currently responsible of O&M and Operations Technical Support (OTS) Groups, consist of Technical & Commercial Operations Teams, Central & Site based Maintenance & Integrity crews, Material Management, Process Safety and ISET (Instrumentation, SCADA, Electrical & Telecom) Engineering departments which are aiming to deliver safe, efficient, reliable, environmental friendly and prudent operations under a common Directorate. Under my leadership, TANAP has successfully achieved to build CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System – SAP PM) which is fully integrated with electronic PTW System, Material Management (SAP MM), SAP HR, SAP FI/CO, CAMS (Competency Assurance Management System) & AIMS (Asset Integrity Management System). I also led the delivery of e-logbook, e-SORA (Safety Override Assessment) and e-MoC Systems.
