Through my internship at the Minneapolis Urban League I have found a passion for working in the non-profit sector after 9 months in the internship position I was hired on full time. Since April 2013, I have been working in MUL's Construction and Trades Program which partners with local contractors, unions, and government agencies to help train and place minorities and women in a career within the construction field. I have learned a lot about contacts, grants (and grant-writing), meeting benchmarks, billing, and overall building report with a diverse group (politicians to participants). I enjoy working with people (by any name Patient, Guest, Client, or Customer). I have a positive attitude, self-motivated, ready to meet the next challenge and am always ready to greet you with a warm smile.
