I am an experienced Information personnel currently working at the Kenya National Library Service (KNLS). With over 8 years of experience as a Senior Library Assistant, I have gained extensive knowledge in library operations and user services. I have been responsible for tasks such as cataloging and classifying information materials, charging and discharging materials, and utilizing online databases. I am dedicated to my work which is evident through my additional roles as an Exam Invigilator, ensuring the adherence to examination rules and the security of examination papers. I have also served as a Librarian Assistant, acquiring information materials, typing labels, and carrying out stocktaking. Education-wise, I hold a diploma in library and information science from Nyeri National Polytechnic and currently finalizing on a Bachelor of Science in Information Science. I have engaged in additional learning, including Chinese Language and Literature studies at Dexter International College. Apart from my professional endeavors, I show commitment to community service through volunteer work at the Kenya National Library Service (KNLS) responsibilities included providing current awareness, shelving, answering reference questions, and stocktaking. I possess a range of skills, including Cataloging, leadership development, Early Childhood Development Course with AFLIA and proficiency in Microsoft Office. I am a native English speaker with a strong command of the language and also has proficiency in French. With my extensive experience in library services and commitment to excellence, I have demonstrated my expertise in managing library operations and delivering exceptional user experiences.
