About Hilkka Lemettinen

I have an education (M.Sc.) in software and electronics. In my career I've got a quite wide background since I've been working in the areas of research, education and industry. In most of my positions, I've used competence for developing intelligent solutions by software, hardware or electro-mechanics, as well as having response of operations, project managing and supevising. The longest experience I have in R&D, both in engineering and managing, with electro-mechanical products aiming for intelligent, safe and easy-to-use door environment. I've been the head of a small developer group and also managed development projects. I have also been working in a sales organization as an account manager in electronics manufacturing industry. I managed customers relationship, made quotations and profitability calculations, managed product prototyping, ramp up and ramp down projects, and helped our customers with their daily issues. Another strong area of my competence is programming. I've developed applications and add-ons for 3D CAD and PDM systems. I also have been working as Senior Web Developer doing both backend and frontend development for web sites, especially for web store sites. Today I'm also responsible for the operation of a custom specific team and managing software projects. I'm eager to develop my competence by studying. At the moment I'm learning pedagogic studies to get a qualification for a professional teacher. The pedagogic studies are also a strong basis when working as a supervisor.
