About Hillary Cohen

After graduating from Clark University in 2007, Hillary moved to California where she immediately began working in the entertainment industry. Upon completing the Assistant Directors Training Program, Hillary began working as the additional Second AD on the TV show Mad Men. In 2012, Hillary joined the NCIS franchise- signing on to season 4 of NCIS: LA. She worked in multiple DGA categories during her 11 seasons on the series, ultimately helping to navigate the series to its finale as the producer managing COVID testing and protocols. During her run on NCIS: LA, she UPMed over 10 episodes, including the NCIS, NCIS: LA and NCIS: Hawaii 3-hour cross-over event. In 2020, while working full time on NCIS: LA, Hillary co-founded Every Day Action, a nonprofit whose main focus is reallocating food waste from catering on film/TV sets to those in need in Los Angeles. Hillary and her co-founder worked to get liability insurance, form a 501c3, and started delivering gourmet meals to shelters, unhoused encampments, community fridges, and to anyone in need of a meal. Currently Every Day Action rescues around meals a year, averaging around meals a week, and covers a 90-mile radius of service from Santa Clarita to San Pedro. We are working to address wage disparity in the entertainment business, hiring production assistants and background actors to redistribute the gourmet Hillary is currently running Every Day Action full time while looking for her next UPM/Producing project.
