About Hillary Locklear

During my time as a Student Academic Support Coordinator at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke, I have found that too many students are not provided with the necessary resources for them be successful in higher education. It is my mission to assure that all students are given the opportunity and means to be successful. My role as a higher education professional is to empower these students to see their potential and use a personalized approach to help them move toward their goal of achieving a degree. I've found that the challenging responsibilities I have held could only be managed by an individual with patience and empathy. This dedication and attentiveness to these students needs are essential to help these students be successful in their college career. Without understanding, empathy, and patience we cannot bring about change to help all students be successful. I am seeking opportunities where I can support students in their higher education journey.
