Steering the Citizens’ Institute on Rural Design (CIRD) at the Housing Assistance Council, my focus is on fostering vibrant, sustainable rural and Tribal communities through strategic placemaking initiatives. With a skill set that includes meticulous program coordination and grant proposal development, my role is central to enhancing community development capacity in small towns. My recent achievements include managing the HAC’s Rural Placemaking Innovation Challenge (RPIC) Initiative, leveraging partnerships with the NEA and USDA to empower historically underserved areas. This experience has honed my active listening abilities, facilitating effective communication that ensures the delivery of impactful workshops and community development plans. Our team's mission aligns with championing equity and inclusivity, enabling organizations to thrive amidst diverse challenges in arts, culture, and public health.
