Hillary Wells, Executive Producer and Director of Youth Media at WGBH, is a mission-driven public media executive with over 20 years of experience designing and producing award winning projects, programs, campaigns. Ms. Wells is passionate about education and social impact and is recognized for her empathic, thoughtful, and collaborative leadership style. She is highly adept at analyzing and navigating complex and nuanced negotiations and partnerships and demonstrates a deep appreciation for diverse and underrepresented perspectives. The foundation for Ms. Wells’ work ethic and philosophy developed at Spring Lake Ranch, a therapeutic community in rural Vermont for people with mental health and substance abuse issues. She learned at a young age, as the director’s daughter, that shared experience, meaningful work and active participation in an accepting, diverse community, can help people develop the confidence, skills and sense of purpose they need to become active, engaged and productive members of society.
