About Himanshu Sood

I have experience in nature-based solutions, social entrepreneurship, responsible value chains, waste management and sustainable finance, in both rural and global contexts. I have worked across a range of spheres including government services, hospitality, real estate, agriculture, conservation and consumer goods. I hold a Master of Science in Sustainability Consultancy from the University of Leeds, where I learned how to apply interdisciplinary and systems thinking to address complex sustainability challenges. I also have a Postgraduate Certificate in Entrepreneurial Leadership from the Naropa Fellowship, where I co-founded a social enterprise that promotes ecological restoration and livelihood generation, and a bachelors degree in business management specialising in marketing from NMIMS Mumbai. My core competencies include research and analytics, business and product design, market and sourcing strategy, business process transformation, and project and stakeholder management. I am passionate about sustainable development and can work confidently with diverse cultures and situations. I aspire to contribute to the global efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and to create positive social and environmental impact.
