About Hingston Xavier

An assistant professor with experience in teaching, training and research. An academician currently working as Assistant Professor - Economics at the Christ College of Engineering, Kerala. Before joining Christ College of Engineering, I was a faculty member at the SCMS School of Engineering and Technology, Ernakulum. My research focuses on understanding the causes and consequences of the declining child sex ratio, especially in the context of the socially developed state of Kerala. I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Economics from the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, and completed M.Phil. in Economics from the University of Calicut. I have completed my Post graduation in Economics from Loyola College, Chennai, and Under graduation in Economics, Political. Science, Sociology (BA EPS) from Christ College, Bangalore. Work experience with private (corporate and engineering colleges). Ability to work in large groups and multi-cultural environments, as well as, individually and amenable to working in both - academic and non-academic settings.
