Hiran is experienced results-oriented rail engineer with over 15 years of experience in electrification, traction power and electromechanical systems in the passenger rail and light rail environment in the UK and Australia. His experience on rail projects includes developing and scribing technical specifications, design and engineering management, providing technical support, project management, procurement management, construction management, managing testing and commissioning activities and quality assurance on several complex Greenfield and Brownfield rail projects. Hiran’s experience includes working for an accredited rail operator (Network Rail), a technology provider delivering turnkey solutions (Siemens) and working for contractors/alliances (NEPA/SPA) delivering rail projects and leading teams delivering traction power and substations components of major rail projects. Hiran is a well-rounded, self-motivated individual with excellent teamwork and relationship building skills combined with the discipline to work extremely well on his own when required. He believes that success in rail projects relies heavily on inter-disciplinary coordination and cooperation, close collaboration between design and construction and the project team’s understanding of sequencing of activities, dependencies and relationships.
