In March 2013, I transitioned to the merchandising (MD) department by request and developed expertise across the following categories: Men’s innerwear (including loungewear, socks, and underwear): 3 years Kidswear (all categories): 2 years Fashion accessories (Men’s: shoes, bags, belts, caps / Women’s: accessories): 5 years During my MD tenure, I was responsible for analyzing sales performance and building future merchandising and product strategies by collaborating with production, design, and marketing teams. My key achievements include: Over 1.5 million pairs of genuine leather shoes sold Over 2 million units of round shoulder bags sold Drove category revenue growth from ¥4.2 billion in 2018 to ¥8.5 billion in 2024 Currently, I serve in the Product Planning Department, leading the merchandise planning and forecasting for both women’s and men’s accessories teams. The scope includes approximately 500 SKUs across product variations, contributing to an annual revenue of ¥30 billion. I focus on maximizing sales and profitability by adjusting demand forecasts based on actual performance and coordinating closely with cross-functional teams (sales, inventory control, marketing, production, IMD, and others).
