About Hiroto Takeuchi

I am a 4th year college student at RIT studying Software Engineering B.S. I am a project manager at Pupil, an NYU-based startup company. At Pupil, I lead a team of engineers to develop a mobile and web application aimed to create a space for underrepresented and lower-income students with networking opportunity and aid their college application process. Our app matches high school students with current college kids as mentors, creating direct connections with the college they are aiming for. With a strong background in frontend development, I am currently studying Software Engineering at the Rochester Institute of Technology, where I am expanding my list of programming languages. However, I am also involved in various extracurricular activities each exposing me to different areas of programming and engineering fields, such as backend, machine learning, hardware, and mechanical/3D modeling. For example, I am a project lead for Catbot project under RIT Robotics club where my goal is to also lead engineers from wide variety of engineering field to build a quadruped robotics from scratch. I am a problem solver, hard worker, and creative thinker, always looking for new and innovative ways to tackle complex issues. I am committed to staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in my field, and I am always eager to learn and grow as a software engineer.
