Highly qualified tax attorney and accountant with extensive field experience, a Master of Science in Accountancy from the University of Illinois, and a solid tax foundation (including corporate, VAT, and tax audits). My current academic pursuits include a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with an emphasis on auditing and internal controls, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Forensic Accounting at Southern New Hampshire University. In 2022, I achieved the status of an Enrolled Agent. I am currently pursuing becoming a Certified Fraud Examiner and seeking the Certified Public Accountant license, which I am eligible to sit for in the State of Illinois. I have vast background as a tax attorney in Brazil, with my practice focused on indirect taxes, tax litigation in both federal and state courts, handling disputes over VAT credit recovery, and negotiating tax incentives. In my current role as Int’l Tax Manager, I`m responsible for supervising corporate income tax compliance and the global tax reporting process for MVW entities in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia (including Australia). Fluent in both English and Portuguese (native), with an intermediate level in Spanish.
