About Holi Birman

With 15 years of experience in educational and therapeutic settings, I have worked with individuals, couples and families of all ages and backgrounds, including children, adolescents, couples, families, people living with disabilities, carers, and those with lived experiences of trauma, isolation, grief, anxiety, and depression. As a registered counsellor and psychotherapist, I specialise in family and relationship counselling, post-separation, LGBTQIA+, grief and loss, and interpersonal neurobiology, offering trauma-informed, person-centred therapy that emphasises the client-counsellor relationship and fosters a meaningful connection built on empathy and understanding. In my role as a trainer and facilitator at Relationships Australia NSW, I deliver training in communication, boundaries, psycho education and self-care. I also designed and established a dynamic volunteer program at Australia’s first Adolescent and Young Adult Hospice (NSLHD, NSW Health), working closely with medical and allied health practitioners, young people, and families. As a senior associate at Brave People Solutions, I facilitate, coach, and mentor teams to resolve complex and longstanding workplace conflicts, manage conduct issues, and navigate organisational change effectively.
