About Holly Arrowsmith

I am an undergraduate bioengineering student at the University of Sheffield, studying Biomedical Engineering with a Year in Industry (MEng). I have completed a year in industry at Abbott, working as a project engineering intern at Abbott Diabetes Care. On my placement, I had the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects, such as the validation of equipment and processes linked to the production of cutting edge medical technology, as well as the development and design of machines and processes for new and upcoming devices. I have chosen to specialise in the design of medical devices and implants, as well as taking modules such as biomechatronics and mechanical fluids engineering. I have specialised in subjects that allow to me to work in a multitude of industries, focusing on the medical device sector and mechanical engineering within the healthcare industry. I am fluent in two languages, Spanish and English, achieving C2 qualifications in both, and I am currently studying German, having achieved a B2 qualification.
