Registered nurse with 12 years of nursing experience. I have been a part of the CDI team for the past 8 years for Intermountain Healthcare. I am a CDI manager since July of 2018, now managing 4 facilities within the Intermountain Health care system. Prior to this position I served as the educator to the CDI team. I have experience in 3M 360 and Nuance programs for CDI, Cerner EMR, and involved in Vizient and PSI quality reviews. Additionally I hold a CCDS certificate through the association for clinical documentation improvement specialists (ACDIS). The focus of my work involves leading my team as well as chart reviews with a knowledge base of DRG, SOI, ROM, HCC, and HAC, reflecting an accurate medical record for both the patient and the hospital. I interact daily with physicians, medical coders, and clinical staff. Prior to this position I was a bedside nurse in central staffing for 2 yrs, floating to all floors including CVU, medical oncology, surgical, orthopedics, ICU, pediatrics, and NICU. My first 2 yrs of nursing was spent caring for hospice patients. Thanks for reading!
