About Holly Chohan

Hello! My name is Holly Chohan and I am a passionate historical costumer with over 20 years of experience in fashion design education and custom costume builds. My journey into the world of historical costuming began as a fascination with the stories and craftsmanship behind each era’s garments. This passion has driven me to not only study the intricacies of historical fashion but also to bring those designs to life through my own creations. With a solid foundation in fashion design, I have honed my skills in various techniques, allowing me to create authentic, tailored costumes that reflect the unique styles and cultural contexts of different time periods. Whether I’m meticulously researching fabric choices, perfecting a silhouette, or constructing garments from the ground up, I find immense joy in every step of the process. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of sharing my knowledge and love for historical costuming through teaching. Inspiring others to appreciate the beauty and history woven into every stitch is one of my greatest joys. I believe that costumes are not just clothing; they are a bridge to the past, allowing us to explore and celebrate the rich tapestry of human history. I’m excited to continue this journey and create even more enchanting pieces that tell their own stories!
