About Holly Colwill

Hi, I'm Holly. I am passionate about education, learning and enhancing futures. I have 7 years of experience working in the education industry with varying curriculum, key stage leadership and moderator responsibilities. With a degree that focuses in STEM, I enjoy finding opportunities to expand this area of interest. Whilst studying, I discovered the Telegraph STEM Awards which brought together my passion for science and innovation - I had to enter! After winning the competition, I was provided with fantastic opportunities to share my passion with other young people with a similar interest in STEM, particularly focusing on widening opportunities for young women with an interest in STEM careers. I had the opportunity to judge national science competitions, speak to other inspirational women in the WISE organisation, become a STEM ambassador and travel around my local area, giving talks to other young people. As well as teaching others, I love learning and expanding my areas of knowledge, especially if I can link it back to my interests in the STEM subjects. I'm always looking out for ways to learn a little more: I love the potential that learning provides. Who knows where I'll be this time next year? Watch this space!
